Everyone know that Gruul is one of the strongest and fastest decks of the format. Maybe it's the number 1 choice among the players. Although it is a deck that appears to be very easy to pilot, don't fool yourself! It requires a high keep quality, bolder mulligans and especially the right sequencing of spells.

Now let's see how the deck should behave against the most important decks of the Standard format and that I played in the Star City Games tournament.

In the draw we can also add 2 Wilt to the deck. In this match the inefficient removals and Vivien come out, precisely because it is a match that you want to put as much pressure as possible, and in the mid to late game the match is not in your favor. In play, we use The Akroan War and we do not put the 2 Wilt, precisely to not be reactive, but to take the initiative of the match.

In this match the removals and cards of higher CMC come out, and creatures with Escape and artifact removals, or enchantments, go in. The goal is to keep an explosive hand to not get caught on the clock of Doom Foretold.

This match is very objective: On the draw, you must focus on being more reactive, responding to threats in the best possible way; In play, you should try to open it in an explosive way and not stop putting pressure.
